You should never give out your personal details online like bank details etc. You should never leave your social media account. On Facebook you can set your information to private so people don’t know much about you.

Service attacks on businesses affects businesses such as banks and if the server goes down people can’t use their credit card for a certain amount of time. The company will lose money and get bad reviews and the company will go bust.

Phishing

Since IT came about phishing has been bad because phishing is where you have to put usernames, passwords, and credit card and bank details to verify your details or your account this can come in a form of an electronic email. This is an example of phishing.

Spam

Throughout IT spamming has been a big deal because people can send links by email saying you have won some money but if you click on it it can cause a virus and mess up your computer and you have to spend some money to get it fixed.  Before IT there was no such thing as spam.

Cyber bullying

IT had made a big impact in cyber bullying.  Before IT there was less cyberbullying and ever since social media came about there has been more cyber bullying than ever before.  People can hack into your social media accounts and pose as other people and other people don’t know who they think they are talking to.

Google is a search engine where you can do research and YouTube is a video site where people upload videos and watch them, you can also buy stuff online by using sites called amazon and eBay.

IT change a lot in society because people are losing lots of jobs all because of how IT has changed throughout the years and people can access private areas.  If you put stuff on social media it may not be secure and you don’t know who can see it and people can hack into your login and see all your private stuff.
